Lonnie Bedwell, National Geographic’s 2015 Adventurer of the Year, award-winning author, and motivational speaker, will appear on National Geographic’s new series Breaking Bobby Bones on Sunday, June 27, at either 10:00 or 10:30 PM EDT.

In this episode, hosted by Bobby Bones, Lonnie and Bobby kayak blindfolded on Idaho’s Payette River for three days, showcasing resilience and overcoming challenges. A former Navy Petty Officer blinded in a 1997 accident, Lonnie was the first blind athlete to kayak the Grand Canyon’s 226 miles. The full episode is on Youtube here (paywall link).
