Mt. Elbrus – August 2025

Mount Elbrus (18,510 ft / 5,642 m)

In August 2025, Lonnie, Alex, and the Sightless Summits team successfully summited Europe’s highest peak, Mount Elbrus, in southwest Russia. This climb marked Lonnie’s 6th of the Seven Summits, bringing him one step closer to completing the adventurer’s grand slam challenge.

Lonnie’s ascent was guided step by step by Juan P, who led Lonnie by sound—one footfall at a time—while the rest of the team followed close behind to ensure clarity of direction. Together, the team moved steadily toward the summit, carrying with them a script Indiana flag signed by both the #IUFB and #IUBB teams, which they proudly raised at the top.
